I’m the one that’s got to die when it’s time for me to die, so let me live my life the way I want to.

Kirsten "Kiki" Ringer

My passion for publishing began in kindergarten when I wrote my first book, Ruby Diamond and the Jewel Thief. With nearly 30 years in the entertainment and publishing industries, my experience includes The Walt Disney Studios, Penguin Putnam, and the venerable Russell & Volkening Literary Agency, where I worked with Nobel and Pulitzer prize winning authors.

After years of watching ‘the process’ of television, film, and book production, I recognized the book authors’ need for a manager. Screen writers in Hollywood have one, why shouldn’t book writers … everywhere? Once a book was sold from the literary agency, no one was there to guide the author through marketing plans and sales support, with or without a publisher’s assistance.

The culmination of this all being KLR Literary, which I created on a basic principle of giving writers a place where all they do is write. I pride myself on the commitment I make to every author and their career as a whole.

I am a certified Integral Yoga instructor and mindfulness teacher, studying with Mindful Schools. When I’m not training for a triathlon, I’m most often found snuggling my Dobermans. Though I do take off Saturdays during the fall to watch college football.

Author Review

Kirsten is all the good things that God put on this earth. Words can’t describe just how good she really is because what she has comes from deep within her soul. She is a pleasure to work with, makes her clients feel comfortable and important as if they are the only person in the world at the moment. She is honest and loyal to a fault. Although I have never met her in person, I’m positive she has a halo floating over her head. Truly an angel sent directly from heaven. I just finished publishing my first novel, “Walking in Daddy’s Shadow”. If it had not been for Kirsten I probably would have given up. She kept me going when I was down and out. Whatever success my book achieves I will owe it all to Kirsten. She is one of a kind and I wish her the very best wherever life’s road may lead.

I was a client of Russell & Volkening for more than 10 years. During that time, on the rare occasions when my agent, Timothy Seldes, was unavailable to speak with me directly, it was often Kirsten who conferred with me on his behalf on matters regarding my projects. Though our dealings were usually brief, they were always pleasant. I always appreciated the sense of professionalism she brought as a representative of the firm, not to mention the personal courtesy and level of respect she always extended to me. I wish her luck in all her endeavors, and trust that her clients are in equally good hands.
